“Claudio can make anything funny. He is one of the most inspiring and imaginative performers I have had the privilege to work with.”
(Cal McCrystal, director: Cirque du Soleil, Royal Shakespeare Company, Spymonkey...)
"Claudio Carneiro is out of his mind....A good indication of brilliant clowning.”
(David Shiner, director: Cirque du Soleil)
“‘Claudio is a comedic genius. Not only is he unapologetically funny, his comedy is delivered with a level of intelligence that can only be obtained with years of work. One of the best artists (if not the best) I have worked with”
(Mukhtar Omar Sharif, director, choreographer: Cirque du Soleil...)
Claudio Carneiro is a clown and actor known for several collaborations with Cirque du Soleil. Among them are: "Varekai", "Love", "Banana Shpeel" and "Joyà". He also worked on the creation and execution of Franco Dragone's "Le Rêve" (Belgium and USA).
Other great partnerships that stand out include Cia. La Mínima, Parlapatões Patifes e Paspalhões, Doutores da Alegria and Le Chiche Capon (France). Claudio also worked on the prestigious film “O Bicho de Sete Cabeças” by Laís Bodanzky and on television productions such as SNL Brazil, Solstrom (Canada) and others.
Since 2019, he has been part of the renowned australian Strut & Fret Company under the direction of Scott Maidment.
In his 26-year career, he traveled the world with his sketches and shows winning criticism and praise from the public and the press, with his borderline and at the same time innocent humor. Now he is producing a new show with some former Cirque du Soleil friends to premiere soon in Cancun, Rivieira Maya.
